SMC's Assembly Department utilizes a wide variety of equipment and processes, including solid riveting, blind riveting, cold pressing bushings, bearing installations, sealing, adhesive and Click Bond applications, and the installation of various screw bolt inserts, to meet our customers demands.
Solid Rivets
The most common application in our Assembly department is the installation of solid rivets. Whether we're riveting on hardware or two parts together, our Assembly department is highly capable and versatile, allowing us to precisely rivet large-complex parts, as well as small-repeatable jobs.
Blind Riveting
Another frequent application in our Assembly department are blind rivet jobs. Similar to our solid riveting capabilities, our Assembly workers have taken repeatability a step further by utilizing fixtures designed to increase efficiency as well as the quality of our parts.
Bearing and Bushing Installations
SMC uses several different applications for bearing and bushing installations, including hydraulic presses, manual presses, cold-shrink installations, as well as roller staking to name a few.
